Late last week, the Clarkson- Joint Venture (CRJV) welcomed nearly 30 ninth-grade students from (KCPS) to the project for a hands-on introduction to careers in construction and transportation.
The visit was part of the (NSTI), a program hosted by the (UMKC) and KCSP. The NSTI program is funded by the Federal Highway Administration and supported by the . Its goal is to introduce high school students to transportation-related careers through interactive and educational experiences.
During the tour, students heard directly from CRJV team members about the work taking place along the I-70 corridor, the importance of the project to the region, and how each team member got their start in the construction industry. The visit included several stops along the project route, giving students a chance to ask questions and see the work in progress up close.
This tour marked the first student visit to the Improve I-70 ÄϹ¬NGÓéÀÖ City project, and we're proud to support programs that promote STEM education and workforce development. Experiences like this are only possible through the time, energy, and enthusiasm of our team members. Thanks to all of the volunteers who made the morning fun and successful!
